Dear Friends,
I never thought I’d have to write a letter like this. But today, I am deeply concerned—and I need to ask for your help.
Recent executive orders threaten to strip ACR Health of $4 million in critical funding, jeopardizing essential services that thousands in our community rely on. If these cuts move forward, the impact will be devastating.
Without immediate action, we could be forced to reduce or eliminate programs that provide access to life-saving medications and services to people living with HIV/AIDS, homeless LGBTQ+ youth, individuals battling addiction, and many others in need.
For the thousands of people who walk through our doors each year, ACR Health is more than just a service provider—it’s a lifeline.
It’s the young LGBTQ+ person who finally finds a safe space to call home. It’s the individual living with HIV who gets the care and support they need. It’s the person struggling with addiction who learns how to prevent an overdose. It’s the young person that needs HIV prevention information and medications.
Last year alone, ACR Health:
- Provided safe spaces, housing, and guidance for 1,360 LGBTQ+ youth and their families.
- Helped 8,176 individuals secure health coverage to access essential medical care.
- Delivered harm reduction services to 1,582 people and trained another 5,483 community members in overdose prevention and Narcan use.
- Conducted vital health screenings for 1,309 individuals at risk for HIV, Hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted infections.
- Assisted 872 individuals living with HIV/AIDS in securing medications and case management.
These services are not luxuries. They are essential. They save lives. And now, they are at risk.
We cannot afford to wait. Can you donate today to ensure that ACR Health continues to be a lifeline? Every dollar you give will help us fight these funding cuts and keep our doors open for those who need us most.
