ACR Health will be hosting Building Capacity for Cultural Change, a live virtual summit addressing health equity, stigma, policies, and procedures with people who use drugs!
Join us for this two day virtual summit which will feature speakers from across the state who are working to increase community capacity to serve People Who Use Drugs (PWUD), reduce stigma, and save lives.
Additional speakers include: REACH Medical staff, Steve Sawicki (NYLinks), Dr. Jerel Ezell from Cornell, ACR team members, and other providers who serve PWUD and conduct harm reduction and outreach work in the region.
Training sessions will include information about HCV specialty care, community-based responses to overdose prevention, evidence-based approaches to opiate and substance use treatment, and community-based outreach efforts in Central New York.
In addition, a variety of topics related to addressing agency, community, and structural barriers will be offered, as well as information about peer recruitment and ongoing mentoring.
